Artist's Statement ~ "Work" is when you would rather be doing something else. I don't work. My time spent alone with multiples of anything results in play. Creatures and forms emerge and we leave adulthood as we are reminded of the playfulness, surprise and sometimes overwhelming awe and delight we experienced as children. We rediscover a sense of wonder from these creations that leave us tenderly aware of the beauty life offers.

As I have progressed in the development of it, my art has evolved into a virtual space eater. Spaces scream at me wanting life. Creation screams at me demanding my time to assist in representing it. I believe ability is what separates us from all other creatures. Our ability to contemplate and to project allows us to change, to have expectations and to communicate to the world around us. We, the artists, have the ability to open gateways of even momentary escape. And just for that reason we have the responsibility to do so. I am caught and I comply.
